Cons:

  • High price-point

La Sportiva and Tommy Caldwell teamed up and made a sick climbing shoe designed for ultimate technical performance (and comfort, yay!) With a 4.2 star rating, most climbers agree that they're comfortable and perform well for different types of climbing, mainly those who spend more time on the wall than off (sport, trad, multi-pitch, big wall), although some boulderers have made good use of them as well.

So, what's the fit like? They can fit snugly (that's a word, right?) and comfortably. You can customize the fit by adjusting the laces, which makes them an excellent choice for narrow or wide foot climbers - and they're soft and stretchy enough to fit even the oddest of feet! The shoe is soft and stretchy but the leather's thick and durable. The high-top feature is great for heel and ankle protection, especially when you're crack climbing or have an issue with rubbing when you wear other climbing shoes. Last but not least, climbers have noted that the rubber offers great smearing and edging capabilities.

Some things to note: Some climbers have commented on the heel cup not suctioning onto their heel like other climbing shoes, make sure to test some heel hooks before you commit to this shoe. Another comment: the rubber not lasting as long as they should given the price point, resoling these shoes could help them last longer, but it's another investment on an already hefty price.

TLDR; La Sportiva's TC Pros are a solid rock climbing shoe, especially for those who like a comfortable, high performance shoe. At $190 for a new pair, they're a hefty price - but you're paying for quality and performance, so ask yourself if they're worth the investment before you purchase.
